Two decisions. How many contracts, and when to press it. The slider is the whole game: every contract you add drags your liquidation line closer to the entry, so the bigger you go the better the odds that an entirely ordinary wick takes you out before the top you were right about.
The leverage toggle is period-accurate. It was patched on November 7th 2019.
The chart is generated in full before the round starts and never reacts to you, so when it tells you the top arrived four seconds after you sold, that is not flavour text. That is what happened.

max size, leverage on, liquidated in four seconds. it then went up 11x. I have learned something and I will not be applying it.
